Born and raised an hour north of Detroit, John Pegg's Kerosene perfumes are directly influenced by the odors of the U.S. automobile manufacturing industry and the frigid natural environment of Michigan. John has always been captivated by scents: oil, gasoline, stamped steel, plastic, trees, earth, and paint, and you'll find warm amber, woods, and spices in nearly every Kerosene perfume.
John's design approach is raw, unique, and approachable. He hand-paints each bottle with high-quality automotive paint and a clear coat and hand-stamps the metal plate labels. The result is a shiny, classic metallic Ford collided with perfume, as songs by The Cure resonate from the peaky tiny speakers from the clunky 8-track player.
